Fellowship Event Planners

A congregation that socializes together forms stronger bonds, which in turn fosters a sense of family. The function of this group of hard-working parishioners is to provide numerous and varied activities and social events for all ages to enjoy. The Pancake Breakfast, Ice Cream Social, Church Picnic, Parish Dinners, Craft Fair and Basket Bingo are just some of the fun-filled events they have planned and organized for the parish. Coffee Hour Committee

“Where church really happens!” Led by the smell of freshly brewed coffee, people pour out of church and head for the parish hall. Coffee hour is the place to get to know others, form relationships and friendships, and really become a part of the church family. Have a bite to eat while you discuss happenings in the church and community. Share your views on state, national and world events. Some people even talk about the day’s sermon! If you are visiting us, don’t be surprised if you are invited by one of our “shepherds.” There is no better way to find out what a friendly and caring congregation exists here at the Church of the Holy Comforter than to join us for coffee hour.

Want to get more involved? Get on a coffee hour team and volunteer to bring snacks and make the coffee. Each team is scheduled 2 or 3 times a year. It’s fun when you do it with others. Call the church office at 410-252-2711 to join a team.

Receptions Committee – Carol Davis

Do you enjoy planning menus for social gatherings? This committee plans and provides receptions for special parish events and celebrations. Perhaps you feel a calling to help those who are dealing with a loss of a loved one, as this committee also provides funeral receptions at the church. This gives families time to share memories and provide support to each other. Contact Carol Davis if you wish to serve on this committee or can offer assistance as needed.
