Regathering
Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,
Please read and then click on the questions below for important information regarding our in-person Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
CHC continues to refine its regathering policies and procedures based on updated guidance. CHC's regathering policies are designed by CHC's Regathering Committee and Vestry in line with updated regulations from the Diocese of Maryland. Please watch this page for updated policies throughout the summer.
Wearing a mask is the only requirement for either service.
- Review the Covenant for Regathering with Less Mitigation found to the right.
- Bring a mask with you to the service.
- Only come for worship if you are well. If you are immuno-compromised, please use your best judgment and even check with your doctor to decide if it is advisable for you to come to worship. Everyone, though, should stay home if you have sniffles, cough, or obvious fever. Let your body heal until you are well again.
- Virtual services will be available for those who are not in attendance.
- Enter through the narthex. Only the front door will be available for entrance on Sundays.
- Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start of the service.
- An usher will check off your name from the list of registered attendees. We need this information for contact tracing.
- We ask that you use hand sanitizer upon entering the space; hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Please follow the directions of ushers.
- In the narthex, there will be a stack of bulletins and a basket for your offering. Please take a bulletin and leave your offering in the basket. (It will not be passed during the service.)
- Prepare to sit in specially marked pew. It may not be your familiar pew, but please be of generous heart and enjoy the new perspective!
- The service will be a standard Holy Eucharist Rite II.
- Your bulletin contains the full service. There are no books in the pews.
-
The passing of the peace will not include handshakes or hugs or any physical interaction.
- Communion will be bread only; please remain in your pew for communion.
- Take all items with you, including anything you have brought as well as your bulletin.
- There will be no coffee hour.
Yes, virtual services via Zoom and YouTube will still be available for those who cannot or do not want to attend. Please look at our Virtual and Zoom service schedule page for updated information on our virtual services.
