Church of the Holy Comforter
hexaCollective presents a program of love, life and prayer. A selection of British Works including the Lamentations by Thomas Tallis, a new work by British composer/cellist Zoe Martlew and British Folk Songs arranged by composers including Holst, Grainger and Vaughan-Williams frame a potpourri of compositions from around the globe including arrangements and transcriptions of hymns from Iceland and Georgia and a mystical work by Ola Gjeilo based on a 12th century Latin text.
hexaCollective is an ad hoc vocal ensemble based in the Baltimore/DC area. Sopranos Sara MacKimmie, Sarah Hayashi and Julie Bosworth, Mezzosoprano Janna Critz, Altos Judith Burke and Sonya Knussen, Tenors Kyle Tomlin and Cameron Falby and Baritones Aaron Peisner and Corbin Phillips perform regularly as soloists and ensemble singers across the United states and abroad. The current roster includes members of the military, finalists and winners from international competitions and specialists in early and new music.
