Coffee Hour Committee - Carol Franz
"Where church really happens!” Led by the smell of freshly brewed coffee, people pour out of church and head for the parish hall. Coffee hour is the place to get to know others, form relationships and friendships, and really become a part of the church family. Have a bite to eat while you discuss happenings in the church and community. Share your views on state, national and world events. Some people even talk about the day’s sermon!
Want to get more involved? Get on a coffee hour team and volunteer to bring snacks and make the coffee occasionally. It’s fun when you do it with others. A sign-up sheet and instructions are in the parish hall. If you are visiting us, don’t be surprised if you are invited by one of our “shepherds." There is no better way to find out what a friendly and caring congregation exists here at the Church of the Holy Comforter than to join us for coffee hour.
Fellowship Event Planners - Bud Nixon
A congregation that socializes together forms stronger bonds, which in turn foster a sense of family. The function of this group of hard-working parishioners is to provide numerous and varied activities and social events for all ages to enjoy. The church picnic, crab feast, cathedral tour, and theater visit are just some of the fun-filled events they have planned and organized for the parish.
Receptions Committee - Carol Davis
Do you enjoy planning menus for social gatherings? This committee plans and provides receptions for special parish events and celebrations. Perhaps you feel a calling to help those who are dealing with a loss of a loved one, as this committee also provides funeral receptions at the church. This gives families time to share memories and provide support to each other.
